Frequently Asked Questions About The NY Photography Workshop
Tuition for the New York Photography Workshop is $1095 and includes 5 days of class, lunch, and dinner. Discounts and scholarships are available for PPA and PPSNYS Members.
Do I have to be a Professional Photographers’ Society of New York State (PPSNYS) or Professional Photographers of America (PPA) member to come to the NYPPS Workshop? While there are many benefits to belonging to either, you do not have to be a member of either organization, you do not have to be a member of either to attend the PPSNYS Workshop. We do suggest that you check them out at www.ppsnys.org or www.ppa.com.
Why should I belong to PPSNYS or PPA? For starters, you save money with the PPSNYS members-only tuition discount. See the PPSNYS Membership Benefits for more. PPA members receive Camera Equipment and General Liability Insurance with membership, in addition to a wide variety of tools and resources. See PPA Member Benefits for more.
Are hotel rooms included in the tuition? Lodging is not included.

The NY Photography Workshop is headquartered at the Quality Inn in Waterloo, NY. We have secured rooms at the following nightly rates: $109 (no breakfast;) $125 (with breakfast.) Call (315) 539-5011 or (315) 539-8355 to reserve a room at our group rate.

Can I change to a different photography class? Yes, you can switch photography classes any time prior to attending the workshop in July if it’s not sold out.
What happens if I have to cancel at the last minute? If you have to cancel after the refund cut-off date, all monies paid will be applied to the following year’s PPSNYS Workshop. The $100 retainer is nonrefundable.
What do I need to bring? Each instructor will provide specific items list. Check back for a general packing list.
Can I bring others to the workshop? Yes, but only fully-registered students can attend classes.
