A Short Chat With Karen McCall

We can’t wait for the PPSNYS Workshop, the weeklong photography school taking place in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. But the lineup includes three amazing instructors, so how to choose? That’s why we’re meeting up with each teacher in our debut Coffee Chat series to get the scoop on what to expect. First up is Karen McCall.

She will be teaching the From Drab To Fab Photoshop Class, see class details on the linked post.

In the interview, we discuss a few resources that may be helpful in preparing for the class. Here they are, in no particular order.

You can find Karen’s website, with a gallery of her work here: https://karenmccall.com/home/.

And if you would like to join her Facebook Group, where you can find critiques, coaching sessions, and a whole lot more, it’s here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/181684244147988

Karen also walks you through setting up the Wacom tablet on the following video (which is also pinned to the top of her Facebook Group.)

If you’re new to Photoshop, PPA has many educational videos covering everything from the most basic to the most advanced features. Here is a good start:
